Support Northshore Riverwatch

Your donation protects our rivers, our health, and our community.

Northshore Riverwatch is a volunteer-powered nonprofit working to defend clean water, hold polluters accountable, and protect the natural heritage of the Florida Parishes.
From the Smitty’s explosion to Scenic River protections to floodplain advocacy — we show up because our community deserves better.

We don’t have corporate sponsors.
We don’t have political ties.
We rely on you.

Why Your Donation Matters

Protecting Our Rivers

We monitor pollution, review permits, document violations, and defend Louisiana’s Scenic Rivers from rollbacks and misinformation.

Responding to Environmental Emergencies

When disasters strike — oil spills, chemical releases, soot fallout, flood events — we mobilize with sampling, documentation, public education, and pressure on agencies for transparency.

Science, Data & Accountability

Your support funds water testing, mapping, fieldwork, and public records access so we can uncover the truth and keep our community informed.

Community Advocacy

We work one-on-one with residents impacted by pollution, drainage failures, and industrial expansion. Your support amplifies their voices.

Every Dollar Makes a Difference

  • $50 → field investigations, sample equipment, presentations

  • $100 → mapping, GIS work, document retrieval, reports

  • $250+ → challenging bad permits, stronger advocacy, testing

Northshore Riverwatch is entirely powered by people who care about the health and future of our rivers and communities.
Your contribution directly fuels this work.

Thank you for standing with us — for clean water, safe communities, and a stronger Northshore.

Volunteer

IBe part of a growing movement for clean water and healthy communities.

Northshore Riverwatch is a small but rapidly growing, community-powered nonprofit.
Volunteers are essential to expanding our impact — from defending our rivers to supporting local families affected by pollution and environmental failures.

Whether you can give an hour a month or a few hours a week, your time strengthens our work and helps build a safer, more resilient Northshore.

How You Can Help

As we grow, we will continue to add new volunteer opportunities across advocacy, outreach, science, and community support. Volunteers may also be connected with partner environmental organizations and local nonprofits that need extra hands on shared issues.

If you care about clean water, transparency, and protecting our natural resources, we’d love to have you involved.
